PARALLAX:

AN EXPERIMENTAL COMIC BY KAI HAMZAH

ABOUT THE STORY

Consumer technology has been monopolised by Parallax Enterprises- a company that eradicated the use of physical personal devices , replacing them with a microchip in your head that overlays digital content over your field of vision. Thing is, if the brain is like a computer in your head, and you stick another computer into the same skulI, they don't get along very well for extended periods of time. All the kids can vouch for that. Having chips implanted into their young, undeveloped, still soft heads, means their brains grew with the chip already being there. Reports of hyper realistic nightmares and the occasional hallucination are rampant, but why give up technological advancement for the sake of something as trifling as your dreams, right?

Controlling dreams is the one demand that Parallax hasn’t managed to reach, but the hidden prodigy behind the Kaleido program may just have cracked it by turning the dream world into a video game: all that’s left is to test run it with some actual players.
